This speaker is optimised in phase and with the same drivers as in the other Chorus models, SR 700 is perfect for large rooms and for pairing with the many Chorus multi-channel installations. This speaker has a contemporary design, with the Polyglass speakers from the Chorus 700 range into a very slim, compact rear speaker.

Excellent in its audio performance, with a very elegant finish, and its compact dimensions, the SR 700 is perfect on a lounge wall. The Polyglass technology, which is exclusive to Focal, is the procedure of applying molten glass microballs on a cellulose pulp cone. The procedure combines paper damping with glass rigidity. The mass, rigidity and damping ratio adjustment results with this material shows outstanding linearity of the frequency response curve, all from the inherent design of the cone.

The Polyglass innovation also increases the definition in the midrange. This speaker uses the TNV2 tweeter which features a suspension which directly comes from the speakers of the reference Utopia line. The material used for the tweeter is very lightweight which ensures the suspension will not become damaged or compressed with time, the distortion is therefore reduced and the frequency response will be improved. The result is a sound which is soft and precise, giving improvements in the harmonics richness and a more precise soundstage.
